Pete and Nathalie Soule One-Time Gift
Join with us in our ministry in Uganda through Freedom Church Kampala! We deeply appreciate your generosity as it allows us to focus on the important work we’re doing here of investing in people’s lives and building the Kingdom of God. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Soule Monthly Partnership
We all know the strain that instability can bring (even when you’re serving God!) and that is why we are so grateful for everyone who chooses to stand and partner with us in recurring monthly support. God does and will always provide, and He often uses people to deliver His provision. Monthly partners enable us to focus on the needs of others, rather than on our own needs. A partner today, means peace for tomorrow. Would you consider being a vessel of God’s peace and provision to our family as we minister to others?
Pete and Nathalie met in Kampala in 2016 while both volunteering with Freedom Church Kampala. Working alongside one another with a shared passion to follow Jesus to the ends of the earth and build His church, it didn’t take long for them to fall in love and begin planning their future together. Pete is from the U.S. and Nathalie is from Belgium so when they decided to get married in early 2017 Kampala was the obvious place for the wedding.
Prior to their meeting Nathalie had lived in 4 countries (Belgium, the U.K., Cambodia, & India) in a span of 5 years (2012-2016) growing, planting, and building Freedom Church campuses along the way; Pete was actively involved with serving youth and discipling others in his church in South Carolina while working in sales for a Fortune 50 company. Nathalie stepped away from a promising career in Educational Science after completing her Masters degree, and Pete stepped away from a promising future in the corporate marketplace – they both felt God’s unmistakable call on their lives to pursue something different and had to respond.
Neither Pete nor Nathalie had any particular personal draw to Uganda, rather it was only that of the Holy Spirit calling them (with the help of a few friends, too). Uganda is now the country they call home and they love getting to experience and enjoy life in Kampala.
Following their wedding they continued to serve in Freedom Kampala in a variety of roles where ever there was need. They eventually served as the youth pastors of Freedom Church Kampala’s student ministry, ZEAL, and now serve as the campus pastors for Freedom Church Kampala. In addition, they are the co-directors of Freedom Kampala’s Leadership Academy, a 9 month residential program which encourages, equips and empowers students (aged 18-30) to know the heart of God and fulfill the Great Commission.
