Amani Family Centre

The Amani Family Centre exists to provide free skilled and compassionate maternity and family support to vulnerable families living in the Kanyogoga slum of Kampala, Uganda. This includes all routine care, child delivery, emergency first aid, and access to transport to other units. Led by Irish midwife, Diane Lockhart, Amani Family Centre has brought over 1800 babies into the world, providing a crucial service to families in the most challenging of circumstances. Unable to afford care otherwise, the work Amani is doing saves lives and gives hope to the community they serve.
